Hit Start Class in your dashboard. A large QR code appears โ put it on the projector. Student names are hidden while the QR is displayed, keeping you FERPA compliant. The code rotates every 30 seconds so it can't be shared with absent students.
Students open the AAF app and tap Scan QR Code. They're marked present instantly and you see the roster update in real time. The app is free to download.
After class ends, click Export CSV. You get a Canvas-ready file with every student's attendance for the semester. Upload it straight to your gradebook. The whole process takes about 10 seconds.
